Hey guys! So ever since school began, every minute of the day is taken up! But I’m so glad to be able to continue! Alright so let’s begin!
Port Orleans, as I stated in my past post, is the best place to go to enjoy the old South! Today I’m going to go over the French Quarter section of the hotel. The French Quarter is as the Disney website states, “Where cobblestone streets, gas lamps, wrought-iron balconies and fragrant magnolia blossoms evoke the Antebellum era.” (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/port-orleans-resort-french-quarter) This hotel is themed towards the vibrant colors of Mardi Gras.
Unlike the Riverside resort, the French Quarter resort only contains one style of room. But this room comes with different views, such as the standard, garden, river, and pool. The room also has a king sized bed which sleeps two adults. The regular room contains two queen beds and the room fits four adults. The prices of the rooms vary depending on the time of year.
The bedrooms all contain a full bathroom decorated with an aged brown counter and the opening to the bathroom is decorated by an elegant border. The shower/tub/toilet contains white tile and vibrant mix between green, blue, white, and yellow. Like all rooms, it contains complementary Wi-Fi, TV, and a coffee set. There is a cushioned bench with a light green cushion, a table and two chairs with the same cushion and a dresser in a two-toned brown décor. The beds contain white blankets/sheets, two long white pillows, one decorative pillow with the colors of gold and purple. The headboard to the bed is a darker brown with a royal design. The last portion to the bed are the purple, gold, and white throw blanket.
This section of the resort has many fun recreations for the family to enjoy. One of those being, the crystal clear pool containing a thrilling waterslide. Two other wonderful experiences offered by Disney; Surrey bike rentals and horse drawn carriage rides.
Port Orleans: French Quarter is full of not only magic, but grand fun walking through the luscious greens of the old South. From the relaxation of a night in to a gentle ride down the river while traveling down to Downtown Disney.
Thank you for reading and have a magical day!
